ADDY'S BBQ is a halal barbecue restaurant tucked into Elmont that offers a spacious, unhurried dining experience ideal for those looking to settle in for a comforting meal without the rush. The interior feels roomy and laid-back, making it a good spot for everything from casual weekday dinners to catching up with friends over a hearty plate.

The menu here leans heavily into grilled meats and bold flavors, with standout dishes like the Chicken Mishkaki—tender kebabs glazed in a tangy-sweet marinade served hot with rice and salad — bringing a nicely balanced sweetness and spice. If burgers are more your speed, options like the Amarillo Burger with its special mushroom sauce or the Jucy Lucy stuffed with four cheeses offer a satisfying, indulgent twist on classic American staples.

Sides at ADDY’S deserve a mention because they lean toward the flavorful and generous. The Mac n Cheese, especially when paired with Cajun chicken or beef bacon, turns out to be a serious comfort food for those looking to go beyond the usual. For a snack or to share, the bacon cheese fries and masala fries bring some local flair with rich, savory layers.

Locals often comment on the attentive and friendly service here, which feels consistent whether you're rushing in before closing or settling down for an evening. It’s the kind of place where the staff remembers you without it feeling forced, maintaining that casual, welcoming tone throughout the meal. The use of QR menus also makes ordering smooth and contactless, a small but appreciated convenience in today’s dining landscape.

The atmosphere tends to be quiet and relaxed, making it an inviting spot for diners who want to focus on their food and conversation without background noise or distractions. Given the extensive menu and comfortable setting, ADDY’S BBQ seems well suited for a laid-back dinner after work or a weekend meal with family who appreciate generous portions and flavorful halal barbecue options.

In short, this restaurant appeals especially to those who enjoy robust grilled flavors, crave comforting sides, and value a calm spot with genuinely friendly service in the Elmont neighborhood.

We arrived half an hour before closing but still had a welcome. I ordered Mac n cheese with beef bacon, usually, I am not a mac n cheese fan, but that day I really wanted to eat Mac n Cheese, what a good choice, it tasted so good, hot and cheesy. Buffalo chicken wings were hot and spicy(my spicy level) very satisfied. Short ribs, tender and juicy, but we can't finish it, too much food. Overall, I like their food, and the restaurant is clean.

Scrumptious food scrumptious time scrumptious people oh my gosh what can I ask for you look so tasty you really do you really do every time I come here it’s like I’ve never came here before they treat me like a first time person. This is incredible. I always feel as if I’m so casual but they made me feel casual. If you know what I mean I hope you don’t know what I mean but I hope you do because I want you guys to love this place as much as I do because I love this place they just know how to cook everything perfect. Their mozzarella sticks are to die for The burgers. The chicken sandwich is actually top-tier best chicken sandwiches on Long Island. I must say I say a lot of stuff, but this this is something I say with my heart and soul in my values attached onto it as if it was my will going down you know what I mean, you know what I mean You know I’m going up. It’s my moment you know together. I’m glowing. Gotta be going to be golden oh, up up up with our voices I’m done hiding now. I’m shining like I’m supposed to be no fear. No lies. That’s who I’m supposed to be. You know I’m gonna be gonna be golden you knowit’s all lies no fears no lies. That’s how I’m supposed to be real to myself and real. 2 could be thank you

This evening, we opted for a dine-in experience at Addy’s BBQ, and the quiet atmosphere made it all the more enjoyable. It’s nice to have a peaceful dinner where you can truly savor the food and have great conversation. One thing that always stands out here is their service—consistently top-notch. In a post-COVID world, I really appreciate the convenience of QR code menus. Not only is it seamless, but when dining with a group, it makes splitting the bill so much easier. Love that feature—please keep it going! The food? Still as solid as ever. Tonight, we all went for the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and their signature mushroom gravy. It’s something I’ve had before, and the consistency is remarkable. I’ve been coming here for years, and one thing I’ve noticed is a bit of shrinkflation—understandable given the times. That being said, their portion sizes are still far better than most restaurants at this price point. Back in the day, the plates were absolutely massive; now, they’re slightly smaller, but you still leave feeling completely satisfied. One of the reasons I continue to support Addy’s BBQ is because it’s a true halal establishment—not just the generic "halal chicken and rice," but everything on the menu. That alone makes it a gem in the community. Now, let’s talk wings. Even though the wings themselves have shrunk a little (as has been the case everywhere), the quality and taste remain impeccable. Every time I order them, they come out fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crispy. If you're looking for a solid appetizer, this is it. Parking tonight was easy, though I know it can get tricky when they’re packed—but that’s the case with any great spot in this area. If you’re planning to visit during peak hours, just keep that in mind. I also want to give a quick mention to their burgers. I didn’t get one today, but from past experience, they are juicy, flavorful, and always filling. Definitely worth trying if you're in the mood for one. The only thing that gives me pause is the 18% auto-gratuity for dining in. I completely understand that the cost of running a restaurant has gone up, and businesses need to stay afloat. However, for some customers, it might make them reconsider coming in versus ordering takeout or going elsewhere. That’s just some honest feedback for the owners—at the end of the day, I truly want to see this place thrive. Overall, Addy’s BBQ continues to deliver on service, food quality, and consistency. I’ll definitely be back, and I hope they continue to be a staple in the community. If you’re looking for a great halal spot with generous portions and amazing flavors, this is it!

Ordered a country fried steak from a Halal spot in Elmont. Had low expectations. Was pleasantly surprised, the steak was cooked and fried properly. The gravy and side of mashed potatoes & vegetables were all great. Never would've expected this. BIG RECOMMEND
